Global Initiatives

Our global projects use the MANTRA model to help rural communities construct hygienic water taps for each household within the village to provide clean water and sanitation facilities for the community. The core values of MANTRA are inclusion, social equity, gender equity, cost sharing, and sustainability.

  • Iringa, Tanzania

    Iringa, Tanzania
We are constructing clean water and toilet facilities in three villages in the Iringa province of Tanzania with funding from the Skoll Foundation. We used the MANTRA model that Gram Vikas has implemented in the state of Odisha, India. The work will be carried out in the proximity of Ulete’s Parish, which is 50 km from Iringa. Initially three villages will be part of this initiative.

  • The Gambia, Africa

    Gambian Girl
